I refused to wear tights

On the top covered with numerous layers, and naked legs down below  – it somehow sounds paradoxical but about 2 years ago I refused to wear tights. Even in winter, where it was freezing cold and the temperatures were around -30 degrees. For me, the weather situation has never been a reason to put on a pair of tights. It was more like a „fashion piece“. Like a pretty outfit add-on.

When people asked me questions like „Aren’t you cold?“ I mostly reacted annoyed and with a lack of understanding. Yeah, most likely I was cold at -30 degrees, even in the deep inside I knew that it is a pretty stupid decision to put on a skirt without any tights on a snowy day, I felt attacked when people asked me this question again and again. – It’s fashion , duh!I don’t differ between summer and winter, this has been my only thought. :D

Well, mommy also warned me over and over again and probably justifiably so because with 22 I can say, I became the most-sensitive-to-cold-person on this entire planet. But psssst, I would never admit it in front of her. A few years later and a little bit wiser I started understanding the sense and purpose of tights. (It’s never too late, though!)

But you know what? I still think that the worst thing – or rather combination – that can happened is wearing long pants with tights below. I will never understand why people are doing this. Honestly? This is so horrible and uncomfortable that I just can’t get over it. I would rather combine them with short pants or just like I did it in today’s outfit with a skirt. I was wearing a pair of tights from ITEM m6 which – obviously – aren’t see trough. I like their quality a lot and the fact that they are smilier to compression socks (which I’m totally in the need of because of my annoying water retention in my legs).

But tell me, how do you like my look? I’m so in love with my new booties.  Do you remember, they were on my wishlist for such a long time and finally they are mine. :)
