TWO LIFE SAVING HAIR STYLINGS
Lifesaving, because these two hairdos have saved my life for so many times. I think, we are all familiar with those days, when your hair looks just awful and stands wildly in all directions – actually for no reason because we do not do anything differently. Huh! The next day, fortunately the whole styling dilemma is over and everything works as usual again. Why is this so?
If you have ever asked yourself why bad-hair-days happen at all, it’s easy explained: in the first place, a BHD sometimes can be caused by hormone fluctuations and secondarily, it may happen that your hair reacts sensitively to the current weather situation. For example, if it’s raining on the outside, the humidity affects the hair structure and makes it look frizzy. The same thing happen if you enter your bathroom when somebody took a hot shower a few seconds ago, maybe you’ve recognized that your hair just don’t look the same anymore. For the same reason again: the humidity.
But enough talking about the scientific side of these damn bad-hair-days, right? Let me introduce you which hairdos are my absolute favorite ones on such annoying days. :)
THE SO CALLED BRAIDZ
Especially on BHD I’m bringing all the different braid techniques back into use. On this picture I’ve chosen the „normal“ technique (there are countless tutorials on the World Wide Web on how to do it – just ask Google). In order to not draw the attention to my hair way too much, I also brought this amazing ear cuff into use. To not make this hairdo look too girly, I opted for a few glam rock elements, such as the charming lace-up top from Chloé, combined it with lace-up high heels (what else?) by Whistles and flared black trousers.
Fancy , because it just goes with any outfit. Although my boyfriend is not a big fan of this favorite hairdo of mine (he thinks it doesn’t look feminine at all and prefers loose hair), I really can’t imagine life without ma fancy dutt – especially on bad-hair-days. So simple yet so special.
Here I went for the more ordinary duty-version, but I do also like the messy bun a lot, especially when my outfit looks more casual and cozy. But this time I followed up a more chic appearance and wanted to add a few vintage elements, just like those beautiful triangle earrings by Escada and my absolute favorite item at the moment: this brilliant Topshop Unique blouse with a deep neckline (Warning!! You will get to see this blouse very often in the near future).
